8/13/06 Theft from vehicle in 1200 Blk Rose Ave. after a fanny-pack was taken from a pickup. 8/15/06 Welfare Check on male subject in 1000 Blk Riverside Dr. 8/18/06 Vernonia K9 Team assisted U.S. Marshalls and Rainier PD in capturing Joshua Mirka, 29, of Rainier. Mirka was located hiding in an apartment by the K9. 8/25/06 Arrested Dean Curyea, 59, Vernonia for DUII. Cited and released to responsible relative. 8/26/06 Cited Robert Burkette, 41 and Jack Miller, 37, both of Beaverton for Disorderly Conduct at Anderson Park following an argument. Both men were excluded from the park. 8/28/06 Criminal Mischief to Lincoln Elementary after damage was found on a door consistent with someone trying to break in. 8/29/06 Runaway report at the police station. Juvenile was later located in Banks and transported to the county line by Washington County Sheriff's Office. VPD then returned the juvenile home. 8/30/06 Criminal Mischief reported to a gate in the 700 Blk Bridge St. 8/30/06 Cited Luke Tankersley, 19, Vernonia and referred male (14), male (12), and female (14), all of Vernonia for MIP. 8/31/06 Possible Theft of Credit Card and Fraud in the 800 Blk Louisiana. Still under investigation. 8/31/06 Arrested Thomas Chelby, 53, Vernonia for Failure to Appear. Per Vernonia Justice Court, Chelby was cited a released. 9/1/06 Conducted a death investigation in 400 Blk North St.
