Did You Know... |
01-04-07 I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years Eve and I wish everyone prosperity in the new year. On December 20th the Vernonia Police Department participated in a town hall meeting at the Vernonia Middle School. The meeting was arranged by Vernonia School District Superintendent Ken Cox. Numerous organizations participated in the meeting sharing with the attendees various programs, services, and volunteer opportunities. The Vernonia community is successful because of many volunteers that work in and with varied organizations throughout the community. Many people commented that they did not realize the Vernonia Police Department offered so many community services and programs. I have been asked to summarize my presentation in my article which you will see later in this article. The bottom line is that my officers and I are available to give a presentation or speak to any size group on most any public safety topic.
