5/1/07 ID Theft reported after someone opened credit card and phone account in victim's name. 5/1/07 Arrested Zackary (15) of Vernonia for Burglary I to a residence in the 900 Blk Fairway Ln. Placed at Longview Juvenile Detention by Columbia County Juvenile Department. 5/2/07 Theft of a shirt from 884 Bridge St. 5/4/07 Referred Christopher Kaiser (15) of Vernonia for Shoplifting after he took candy from Vernonia Sentry Market. 5/6/07 Found items in the 600 Blk Lake View Dr. 5/7/07 Dispatched a road-struck elk in 12000 Blk Keasey Rd on request of Oregon State Police. 5/7/07 Theft of metal from two businesses in the 400 Blk Lagoon Dr. 5/7/07 Juvenile male runaway from Vernonia Middle School, later returned home. 5/10/07 Motor Vehicle v. bicycle accident in 800 Blk Bridge St. A 15yr old juvenile male was transported to Emanuel Hospital, later released. 5/11/07 Arrested Brandy McKernan (25) of Vernonia on a Justice Court warrant. Lodged at CCSO. 5/12/07 Arrested George Wood (20) of Vernonia on Felony Theft warrants from Washington County. Lodged at Washington County Jail. Officers have stopped approximately fifteen (15) bicyclists for various violations, predominently riding without a helmet and riding on the sidewalk in the downtown area.
