7/16/07 Theft of iPod in the 800 Blk 3rd Ave. 7/19/07 Referred Sonny Marks (17) of Vernonia to Juvenile Department for Carrying a Concealed Weapon in the 200 Blk Bridge St. 7/20/07 Reckless Burning/Vandalism/Littering in Hawkins Park Gazebo after finding burnt newspapers, damage to picnic tables, and garbage. 7/20/07 Illegal Dumping of excess asphalt on a lot at Roseview Heights. 7/21/07 Runaway reported from the 400 Blk Mississippi. Later found and returned home. 7/21/07 Theft of bird house from porch in 800 Blk E. Bridge St. 7/21/07 Theft of purse from Lyons Den, purse later found in Rock Creek missing items. 7/21/07 Cited Chris Mathews (20) of Vernonia for PCS (Marijuana less than ounce) at Hawkins Park. 7/21/07 Arrested Ricky Bartholomew (36) of Vernonia for Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest in the 1000 Blk Rose Ave. Lodged at CCSO Jail. 7/23/07 Cited James Dozier (57) of Cornelius for Theft II after he failed to pay for a taxi ride to Vernonia. 7/25/07 Arrested Heath Michael Jacobs (23) a.k.a. "Michael Zimmerman" of Vernonia on Felony warrants out of Arizona for Absconded Sexual Offender, Sexual Assault of a Minor, Failure to Appear (DUI), and Resisting Arrest/Assault. Jacobs was arrested at Bridge St. & Adams Ave. and taken to the CCSO Jail for extradition to Arizona. Also cited Shannon Fennern (18) of Vernonia for Hindering Prosecution. 7/27/07 Welfare Check in 1000 Blk Rose Ave. Report forwarded to Child Welfare. 7/29/07 Arrested Robert Regan (34) of Vernonia for Domestic Assault IV in the 700 Blk Bridge St. Lodged at the CCSO Jail. VPD Officers contacted several people for ordinance violations involving bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades. Cited two juveniles for riding bicycles without helmets on the sidewalk in downtown as well as impounded their bicycles.
