04-28-04 A resident reported a burglary/theft from a shed at 376 “C” St. between July 2003 and April 2004. Several items were removed. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police. 05-04-04 A juvenile resident reported being harassed by a juvenile male subject. The incident was referred to the Juvenile Department. 05-05-04 Investigated an injury motor vehicle accident on Hwy 47 near Lone Pine Road. The two occupants of the vehicle were attended to by Vernonia Fire after they walked into town. 05-05-04 Arrested 24 year old Kasey Carter on an outstanding warrant out of Washington State. Carter was lodged at the Columbia County Jail. 05-06-04 Investigated a Nuisance Violation at 1178 Ivy St. The owner signed a Voluntary Correction Agreement promising to resolve the problem. 05-07-04 A resident reported that a window had been damaged at 1161 River St. #1 by a male subject. The male was contacted and a report will be forwarded to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. 05-11-04 A resident reported that her 12 year old son was late returning home from a fishing trip with a family friend. 05-12-04 A resident reported the theft of a dark brown BMX-style bicycle from the area of the Blue Heron Apartments. The bike was later recovered by a citizen in Rock Creek by the Linear Trail Bridge. 05-14-04 It was reported that a stolen check from Hillsboro was forged and used to pay for fees at Anderson Park. There is no suspect(s) at this time.
