This Spring the KIDS THAT CARE 7th & 8th Grade community service class in conjunction with
the Vernonia Police Department, Vernonia Metro West Ambulance, and the Vernonia Fire

During the event kids, parents, or anyone will be able to obtain a bicycle registration from the
city, have safety checks on their bikes, and participate in many bicycle events.

Also currently available are two identification tools to help protect children in an emergency
situation or accident.

Identification and Emergency Lifesaving Data is a program that potentially life-saving information

information when your child needs help or you need to be contacted.

--The Car Seat Identification Kit or W.H.A.L.E. (We Have A Little Emergency) kit provides
emergency health information to rescue personnel in the event of an automobile accident that
incapacitates the driver or passengers. Critical information can be stored on the information

Again the kits are currently available from Bonnie Holce at Washington Grade School or the

More information on the bicycle rodeo/safety event will be made available as a date is
formalized for this Spring.

We hope to see everyone there!
