2/28/05 Took a Theft of Services report from Vernonia Sentry Market. Issue was resolved with no further action. 3/1/05 Took a Theft of Services report from Leonetti's Pizza. Subject returned and paid for services. 3/1/05 A resident reported finding a suspicious item near the 600 Blk California Ave. The item was identified and returned to its owner. 3/3/05 Took a Theft report from the Vernonia Sentry Market. An 11yr old male juvenile was released to his parents and no other action was taken at this time. 3/3/05 A resident reported that his 11 yr old son was assaulted on the school bus. The incident was documented and the issue was handled by the school. 3/5/05 Picked up Tony Pate age 44 of Vernonia on a Probation Violation Detainer. Pate was lodged at the CC Jail. 3/10/05 Arrested Julie Kelso age 31 of Vernonia for DUII in the area of East Bridge St. Kelso was cited and released to a family member. 3/11/05 Took a report of a subject possibly attempting to harm themselves in the 400 Blk of Louisiana Ave. The subject was contacted and later transported to a hospital for observation. 3/11/05 Took a report of a Hit and Run to a bicyclist near East Ave and Bridge St. The suspect briefly stopped then drove away. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries. The suspect is described as a white male in a newer purple sportscar. Anyone with information can call the police department at 429-7335. 3/11/05 Took a report of a possible Violation of Restraining Order in the 400 Blk of Bridge St. No further action taken at this time. 3/13/05 Arrested Larry Scott Jr. age 26 of Buxton for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangerment after Scott sped through Vernonia then drove south on Hwy 47 at an extremely high rate of speed, eventually losing control of his vehicle near milepost #66. Scott was lodged at the CC Jail.
