Spring Bicycle Rodeo 04-16-05

Several people braved the early rainy & blustery weather to participate in the Vernonia Bicycle Safety Program Spring 2005 Bike Rodeo. Participants took part in numerous bicycle safety stations. Once the stations were completed they were allowed to drive their bicycles through an obstacle course. The Vernonia Police Deaprtment also had a large display where many donated items were given away. The VPD also sold bicycle helmets while the St. Helens Police Department certified helmet fitter was on-hand to make sure everything fit properly. There was a raffle for two new bicycles from WalMart and several other bicycle accessories. A great time was had by all!
