Issues with wildlife should be directed to the
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. Please call either (503) 947-6000 or (800) 720-6339 to make a report.  If you are unsure about the situation, let us help.  Call us at (503) 429-7335.  If we are not available, please leave a clear message with your telephone number so we may call you back promptly.

ORS 609.100 requires that all dogs over six months of age be licensed with Columbia County Animal Control within 30 days of residing in the city.  Columbia County Animal Control does canvas the area to ensure dogs are licensed accordingly.  Licenses may be obtained from Columbia County Animal Control, local animal shelters, the County Courthouse or from any Animal Control Officer in the field. 

County Ordinance based on the citizen's complaint.  These violations can cost up to $500.00.  ORS 609.095 defines a dog as a public nuisance if it:

Bites another person, even in your own home

Chases a vehicle or person

Damages someone else's property

Scatters garbage

Trespasses onto private property

Disturbs any person by frequent or prolonged noise
