Police Blotter: 11/1/2008

10/14/08: Abandon Auto posted for removal at Airport Park. Vehicle was later towed away and impounded.
10/14/08: Report taken for a stolen license plate from the front of a vehicle parked on B street. 
10/18/08: Multiple buildings spray painted with slanderous comments and "taggings" at Vernonia High School. VPD referred Jacob Stevens (15) , Christopher Watrous (14) and Nick Kinney (15)  to Columbia County Juvenile Department for Criminal Mischief I. 
10/18/08: Report taken for spray painted graffitti on the side of the scout cabin. VPD referred Jacob Stevens (15) , Christopher Watrous (14) and Nick Kinney (15) to Columbia County Juvenile Department for Criminal Mischief I.  
10/18/08: Report taken for a vehicle intentionally damaging the grass near the horse arena in Anderson Park. Vehicle located by VPD, however the victim did not wish to pursue charges at this time. 
10/18/08: Theft report taken on A street.
10/20/08: Multiple reports of a female yelling and screaming at people near Bridge and Jefferson. Renee D. SIEFERT (38) of St.Helens was arrested and transported to Columbia County Jail for Disorderly Conduct II and Resisting Arrest. 
10/24/08: Took a report that a student had brought a large military rifle looking airsoft gun into Vernonia High School. Student had also brought the airsoft rifle into the Vernonia Library. VHS staff confiscated the airsoft weapon. Investigation Pending. 
10/27/08: Death Investigation on Nehalem street. Investigation revealed subject died of natural causes. 
10/29/08: VHS student struck by a car while riding his bike to school at Bridge and Rose avenue. Driver left the scene and did not stop. VPD is asking for assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the accident. 
10/31/08: Scott Fosdick (46) of Vernonia arrested on a Warrant out of Washington County. 
10/31/08: Responded to the area of State and A street on a report of several men dressed as "Scream" character pushing small children and taking their candy. Subjects were gone on arrival.
10/31/08: Responded to the bathrooms at Anderson park where 6 people ran after spray painting graffitti and threats to the inside of the mens room. 4 of the 6 subjects were located within minutes of the call and arrested. Devon Mezyk (18) arrested and lodged at Columbia County Jail for Criminal Mischief I , Kesha Morgan (19) of Vernonia arrested for Criminal Mischief I and Interfering with Police, Tony Delreal (14) of Vernonia , Christ Watrous (14) of Vernonia and Nick Kinney (15) of Vernonia were referred to Columbia County Juvenile Department for Criminal Mischief I and Unlawful Application of Graffitti. Christopher Benzel  (14) of Vernonia also referred to Columbia County Juvenile Department for Criminal Mischief I, Unlawful Application of Graffitti and Littering within 100 yards of a waterway. 
10/31/08: Responded to the area of Bridge and Rose avenue on a reported fight in progress. Subjects left prior to arrival. 
10/31/08: Responded to the area of State and A street on a reported Domestic Disturbance.
