Police Blotter: 12/15/2008

12/1/08: David A. DYER (46) of Vernonia arrested on a Warrant out of Washington County. 
12/1/08: Nathaneal KNOBLOCK (24) of Hillsboro cited for No Operators License and No Proof of Insurance. Vehicle was impounded at the scene. 
12/4/08: Report of a burglary and theft taken from California Avenue.
12/6/08: Report of Criminal Mischief II taken from California Avenue. 
12/5/08: Victim brought to Vernonia Police Department from a Domestic Assault, Sex Abuse I and Attempted Rape. Assisted CCSO with subsequent investigation. Suspect Dan       of Vernonia was later captured in Gresham with the help of local media. 
12/6/08: Responded to Alder street on a report of a suicidal man with his 5 year old child locked inside his residence while armed. Officers from Columbia County C.I.R.T. responded. After several hours, Otis ARMES (44) of Vernonia gave up and the situation was resolved peacfully. Armes (44) of Vernonia was transported to Portland Adventist for evaluation.  
12/7/08: Jacquin MANDES (31) of Vernonia was arrested and lodged for Disorderly Conduct II after an early morning disturbance. 
12/9/08: Took a runaway report at the Vernonia Police Department regarding a 17 yoa female who may be in the Portland area.
