Police Blotter: 12/9/2008

12/9/08: Took a report of a 17yoa Runaway from Riverside Drive. Still under investigation.
12/16/08: 16yoa male caught snorting a percription narcotic in the city hall bathroom. Juvenile evaluated by EMS and released to parents. Juvenile referred to Columbia County Juvenile Department for PCS. 
12/17/08: 16yoa male causing a disturbance inside his residence. Juvenile taken into protective custody and transported to St.Vincent hospital on a mental health hold. On-going Criminal Investigation for the adults who supplied the narcotics to the juvenile. 
12/18/08: Chuck COON (46) of Buxton, detained for Disorderly Conduct following a fight at the Lions Den Tavern. Coon was cited and released to a sober party. 
12/19/08: Responded to an injury motor vehicle accident at the corner of Bridge and 3rd street. On adult female was struck by a vehicle that was sliding down Bridge street due to the snow and ice. Adult female transported to St Vincent by ambulance. 
12/20/08: Responded to a structure fire on Knott street with Vernonia Fire Department.12/24/08: Jonathan HARTMAN      taken into custody for Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering. Hartman was later cited and released. 
12/31/08: Responded to a fight in progress on Bridge street. Partys were escorted home and seperated for the night. 
12/31/08: Paula Swanson of Vernonia arrested for DUII, PCS and DWS. Swanson was cited and released to a sober person. 
1/1/09: Deer struck by vehicle on North Mist Drive. 
1/2/09: Criminal Mischief reported on Bridge Street.
1/3/09: Vicki BURNETT of Vernonia arrested and lodged for Assault IV Domestic. 
1/3/09: Investigated a NO CONTACT ORDER violation on F street. Report forwarded to the District Attorney for review. 
1/5/09: Investigation of a Craigs List scam with a person in town being the victim reported on Rose avenue. 
1/11/09: Investigation and Report of multiple ATV's damaging the road in the 1400 block of Louisiana Avenue. Investigation and Citations pending for the drivers of both quads. 
1/11/09: Report of a Theft III reported on Rose avenue.
1/11/09: Kaci Budge (18) , Zachary SERAFIN (19) , Kursten KING (18) and Britaney ROBERTS (18) of Vernonia arrested and cited for MIP - Alcohol in the 600 block of California Avenue. Investigation and arrest pending for the persons furnishing the alcohol. 
1/13/09Reported Child Abuse on N.Mist drive. Investigation continues with DHS and Yamhill County Sheriffs Office.  
1/13/09: Joint Investigation with the Amity, Oregon Police Department on a reported Child Abuse. Investigation still under way.
